As you go through life people, places, things, and events touch you and help make you the person that you are. They can cause sadness or happiness, yet they still leave a mark. They can be that life long friend who you grew up with. The stranger that offered a helping hand. It can be a favorite spot where you used to escape to as a child. That one awesome vacation that you waited for all year long. They can take the shape of a pet that you had as a child, or an animal that you took care of and found a new home for. It can be an event that caused you to remember what is important in life. It doesn’t matter what emotion it brings out in you, it becomes part of you, part of your fabric. Everyone is different and everyone’s experiences in life is different. What makes us all the same is inside. It’s our ability to care, to feel compassion for others. Whether we have endured a similar fate or not, you still have the ability to care. That is what makes each and everyone of us special in some way, shape, or form.


If people would remember this, we might be a little better off.
