anyone on lexapro? i heard it causes weight gain, can this be used to our advantages during a cycle? jus got put on it an worried im gonna become a huge fate blimp.

also any way to overcome the sexual sides? someone said possibly dostinex?

thank for ur help

ugh. all of the psych meds have a vast & varying array of side effects. one that may happen to you might not happen to another. it's all about body chemistry. the weight gains from meds like this is mostly due to having your energy sapped and not wanting to take part in any activity. i was on lex for a while, didn't care for it. these meds will never have a positive effect, indirectly, towards bodybuilding. the positive effect will come from you yourself feeling better and being more positive....

It causes weight gain because it tends to make people eat more. They say it plays a role in metabolism, but for sure it plays a role in appetite. Unless the person already over eats because of depression.

But dostinex can help. If you don't like the lexapro possibly switching to wellbutrin or adding wellbutrin. Also adding adderall would be an option.

But again, that's adding medicine to combat the side effects of one and it depends totally on you and your doc if that's cool with you both.

Lexapro, for me has the least amount of side effects. I was on Paxil and the first month I actually lost weight and my libido. After that I gained a ton of weight and still no libido. I finally switched to Lexapro and have been on it with very little problems.

would adding in thermorexin help with the weight gain or would that affect the lexapro?
anything you add has the possibility to cause a problem. it's chemistry and everyones is different...if it's that much of a concern, ask the doc. they're pretty open to things, most times.....

Some stimulants may alter levels of serotonin, so they think there is a possibility of developing Serotonin Syndrome. I think for the most part it would be ok. But using something like green tea is your safest bet.

If it alters you body chemistry then maybe 5 pounds can be attributed directly to the meds. But when people put on 20-40 pounds...well, you still have to eat the food for it to happen.

The upsides are that you might get more sleep, the workouts might be more enjoyable for you, and it will make you last longer in bed.

my wife has bounced around on few of those drugs.
all make her face get round like a pumpkin
but i love her and rather have a pumpkin head for a wife then a crazy bitch.
...............
Karl What are you doing with that knife in your hand? "Huhn oh I dont know reckon i just woke up kinda holding it hummm" (as karl stands at the door staring into the bed watching them sleep)
..............

well maybe she is not exactly slingblade but with out the meds things get awfully strange sometimes

a lot of that shit can affect your taste buds as well. makes food almost unpalitable....

I've been on Lexapro for about a year now. I didn't notice any weight gain. In fact, I lost about 30 lbs of fat in the past year, tho I don't chalk that up to the Lexapro. I did however notice that it has helped me work thru some pretty tough shit. That's what it's for. It picked me up and improved my quality of life. In that regard, it has helped my bodybuilding. (i.e. allowing me to function better.)

Everyone's different. Just make sure you take care of your head.
