Legitimate gear questions?

On the internet there are lots of hype sites for gear abroad if you dig deep enough. It has been posted on
this site that gear from abroad has been hardest to receive from Mexico. However, it also has been stated
that if I pursue the importing of gear that I am liable for
certain us law restrictions, so I've heard. With that being said, am I just missing the point or are all of these
web hawkers just B.S. and a money pit to all that pursue. If everyone is talking about the gear explosion and the plethora of product, then why am I griping and asking this discussion board for help with abroad searches? Someone please get the point through my head that I will be able to gear up in the future without
crossing lines or asking that they be crossed.

I am not to sure of your question, but i will see if this is what your looking for.

if your talking about buying gear from a website. i would be very cautious. send the site to a mod and varify that they are good to go. it is no different then emailing them an email addy to check a source out for legitness. if your concerned about importing gear into the US, then there can be problems. gear is imported into the US everyday. some get seized and some dont. it all depends on the luck of the draw. you can place 50 orders and not have a problem, then the next one you send gets snagged. it is the chance you have to take for the cheaper prices or just pay more and get it domestic. laike always wether domestic or import, dont spend money you dont have to loose, just incase something does happen, scammed or seized.. hope this is what you wanted to know..
