football, basketball, hockey and baseball to be tested for speed, ephetamies (sp?) and steroids under this bill- John McKain was just on CNN talking about this.....said a reason is because the sports cannot decide themselves.....

does this have any further implications......outside of the sports? it's making me feel worried

IMO sports need uniform policy. The sooner we can get the matter taken care of the less it will be on the news ect.

mcain's just trying to get another nod to run for president yeah he did some tough time in the Hanoi hilton and for that I respect the hell out of him and any other vet that served they went through shit most of us will never comprehend but I think he's could spend his time by getting tougher minimum sentencing for more heinous crimes like rape and child abuse and getting this gas gauging thing taken care of steriods are not the threat to the public safety these politicians are making them out to be and they should educated themselves enough to realize that and stop using them for the flavor of the month polical grandstanding springboard...it is frustrating, go get the death penalty for pedifiles and rapists

Exactly! Congress needs to do what they're gonna do and then shut the hell up about it. They're just draggin it out so they can put on a show and not have to deal with the real issues.

professional sports doping testing is going to start being governed by the federal govt instead of the individual league... only one without steroid testing right now is the NHL.
when this happens, they've already said first offense is 1 year ban, second offense is banned for life from the sport.
this is what i read in the newspaper today. take it for what you will
