I think I'm gonna kill my yard. My fuckin lawn mowers keep breaking. Maybe I'll just get in my car and do donuts all over the yard and kill all the grass.

It is probably too late to laying seed. You do it in spring or fall. Do it again in September. In the interim, apply weed and feed in a few weeks.

Use Scotts number system. I'm willing to bet your two late for step one, but I'd go ahead and put it down anyway. At the same time you put down step one, make sure you put down an insecticide that will kill grubs as well.

Also remember cut your grass high (3 inches) so it'll shade out any weeds.

Make sure you water at least 3 times a week for 10-15 minutes each time.

Do all the above you and you'll get a great looking lawn by mid summer

Grass seed? Are you starting from scratch? Is so I would buy several sq ft of the pre-grown stuff.

SOD? no im not starting from scratch..and everything ive read says to put seed down now...so weed and feed huh...are any brands better than others???

I'm not sure which state you live in but in my state they offer a free service for checking your soil. I would check w/ the agriculture division of your state and see. Here in GA you dig up 3 dif. soil samlpes and turn it in for analysis. They will give you the chemical composition of the soil and tell you what to add to it.

Saw the father-in-law today. Gave me a 10kg bag of chicken poop. Spread it onto your lawn and water it in, he tells me?

Do not use any fertilizer beside starter stuff....all the grass seed you put down the will be killed.....just water the piss out of it for 2-3 weeks and it should germinate and starts sporting nice green grass...then after a month 1/2 lay the fretilizer to it and water 3-4 times a week depending on the amount to rain you receive.......
