I'm considering getting laser hair removal. I wanted to hear from people who have had it done. What kind did you get? What were the results like? How much did it cost? I will probably get it done to my back and neck and maybe my shoulders. - cbeaks

I don't know that much about it but I do know it works best the darker the hair trying to be removed and the lighter the skin. If your considering it, make sure you ask a bunch of questions on the person who will perform the procedure.

I can't remember what type of laser, but in my opinon it was money well spent. The hair on my neck was very thick and course, I was always having trouble shaving engrown hairs and all that good stuff. I've done two cycles since both about 10 weeks long (deca, primo-test and anavar). I've had some hairs grow back, not very many. I'll probably go back and get it touched up and if I still feel the same maybe get my arms done. If I remember what type of laser it was I'll let you know.

I am in the process right now.I had my first treatment at the beginning of October.My second one will be November 12.Back,Neck,and Shoulders.You will need 6 treatments total spaced out every 8 weeks or so.They say you will notice results after the second treatment.

I just called one of the clinics and they told me it would cost $6500-$10500. That's way out of my price range. I would be willing to pay up to $3000. I would probably have to pay closer to $10000 because I have a very large back. - cbeaks

I shave/wax from ears to toes. That laser is just too expensive. It's only a matter of time when a company comes out (probly soon), and be able to kill it all painlessly in one treatment forever. So I'll just wait. Laser is just the new wave. Hair removal techniques anymore is like buying a computer. You spend all this money on it and a year later the power is doubled at a lower cost! lol

Is there any "proven" type of Laser? There are bunch of different type wavelenght lasers (YAG, Ruby, Alexandrite, Diode, etc) each are being promoted for its effects but I guess they are all not yet %100. 4yrs ago I tried Alexandrite type and it did nothging for me.
Is there anyone here who's done a thorough search on these lasers? Which one is good???

I am getting my neck and brow done right now with great results. The sessions are about every 6-8 weeks with a total of 6 sessions i paid $560. It was a great deal and they guarantee the work with free touch ups. I go to Sona Laser Care and I think it is a franchise so check you local listings.

My advice would be to shop around. I went to a plastic surgeon to see what it would cost to get my arms done and they told me about $600 per arm per session and I was looking at about three sessions, at least. However, the nurse there told me that the reason it would be so expensive is because they have a very small laser and it would take quite a while to do a large area like the arms. She told me to find a place that has a large laser and chances are the price would be cheaper. She was right. I found a place that I'm currently going to and they charged me $175 for the first treatment for both arms and the price goes down with each consecutive treatment because there will be less hair each time.
