Are there any landscapers out there??

I am in need of guidance...I need to put something in the front of my house.... there's about 10 feet on the one side of the walk way and 5 feet on the other.....would like it to be about 4-5 feet tall.....partial sunlight....I have light blue siding on my house..

I am CLUELESS!!! Help?!

find a baby crabapple tree? i have one in my front yard next to my walk way, blossoms beautifully in the spring, so you get both flowers and a tree :)

OH GOD!

Questions to ask:
Do you want evergreen or deciduous (it loses its leaves)?
If deciduous, when would you like it to bloom?
Would you want Fall/Winter interest (berries, fruit, leaf color)

10ft is kind of small for any sort of tree unless you want it blocking your walkway or eventually your house, so I'd probably stick with a small flowering shrub or evergreen.

BTW if you need a calculus or physics tutor, let me know too :)

Dwarf Japanese Maple...10 to 12 feet tall, add a few evergreen shrubs, the acidic soil won't hurt the maple...no need for alot of sunlight, water as needed...a few flowers in front of the shrubs and you're done...all in 1 day Darl'in....

I wouldn't go with a tree, maybe a flowering shrub like a hydragea or if you are in the southern part of the country and the spot doesn't get a lot of sun try a camillia. It gives you some beautiful blooms during the winter and early spring.

Rhododendrons are very nice too.

Yes it all depends on the zone you are in and how
much shade and sun you have.
Don't plant it too close to your house.
Or later on down the line you may have to take it
out.

Also you can add some Hostas to the part sun and shade
area. They are perennials, which mean they come back
every year. Then you can add some color with anninuals
(flowers).
