Lactose intolerant

Not sure if this has been brought up before....

If one is lactose intolerant, say from milk and cheese, etc..

Would they feel the same effect from a lactose/milk sourced (milk isolate, etc) protien powder?

I am not LI that I know of, but when I cut it out of my diet, I appear less bloated..

it depends if your lactose intollerant or if you have an allergy to milk. Lactose intollerance symptoms could also be a milk allergy. protein powders such as iso-agb , isopure , vpx xero carb have no lactose. Infact vpx zerocarb is a cf quadfiltered whey protein so it's got zero of just about everything except whey protein

A high quality milk isolate shouldn't cause problems....I'm midly intolerant myself and consume copious amounts of milk isolate without problem..

how do you mean bloated? feel or look?

if you have this it is just a digestive problem. you would not produce enough of an enzyme that is use to break down the sugar in milk.. so it would just set in your stomach and rot so to speak. Setting while bacteria eats on it and causes lots of gas and then later causing you body to try to get rid of it by flushing it out .. Diarrhea

but you may already know this

As far as just feeling bloated everyone feel that way from protein shaks..
it is a good filler like that..

Thats pretty much how I feel, but its not from the shakes, b/c I don't mix my whey with milk.. I used to just drink a lot of milk on its own.. :worried:

humm well i feel that way with just plain protein .. no milk..
also with just milk ...
also with icecream ... just me though..
