L-Arginine

Hey guys - probably a pretty simple question for some of you to answer...

Whats safe to take of arginine?

Just realized the pre-workout drink I take has 2200mg of arginine in it.

and as I take my vitamins, I take about 2-3000mg of arginine throughout the day, so a total of 4-5000mg.... Doubt I need this much.

Whats a good amount to take?
 
My Arginine AKG supplement recommends taking 3000 mg 3 times a day.

There is no real danger in taking an abundance of amino acids. Steroids are different. Amino acids are safe.
 
I know guys that do 5 grams 3X per day.
 
How is there vascularity? I imagine taking that much they could look like they are actually on Cycle with out being on any anabolics.

I couldn't really say. They are fairly vascular, but not ridiculous. Partly because they aren't super lean either.
 
I am starting to experiment with taking a pwo arginine formula and adding some caps through out the day and see how that goes when I get to bellow 10% with out designers.
 
I gonna start using those dymatize expands PWO to see what's up with that. I'll start tonight and tell you what I think, if anything at all.

Ive been using 8 of those per day and liking the fullness and vascularity so far.
 
Wow, bro. I have never taken Arginine PWO before. I stayed full and pumped for a long time. I went to a college game, and people we're like "dang bro, you are looking jacked"

I felt fuller and thicker. Not crazy like, but it was a definite improvement. My pumps usually go away after an hour. It was for a full 3 hours I was still feeling somewhat pumped and full. Good stuff. I'll have to keep doing this and see if I see a noticable improvement in my physique long term.
 
Ive been of cycle for about almost 2 months now and still looking really full and vascular like if I was on. I attribute that mostly to the arginine tablets Im taking through out the day. Im taking 4 in the am and 4 around 8 pm.
 
during the summer i was taking 5gms preworkout, then 13grms at night to help GH production.

worked pretty well, noticeable anyways. the only word of caution i have is it can give you nasty shits.
 
Well good deal -- It sounds like there is no real reason to take it when you are "ON" though - am I correct? Or at least take a minimum -
 
I take 8 grams 30 minutes pre workout. I don't waste arginine for non-workout days. I use it for a pump, and that's it. I'd rather rely on diet and AAS to keep me vascular than an amino acid.

the pump on 8 grams is pretty damn sick. Couple that with some waxy maize, whey and viagra - you might just explode :D

pre workout routine

1.5 hrs before workout - carbs (whole wheat pasta, brown rice or potatoes)

30 minutes prior - 8 grams arginine, 30g waxy maize, 30g whey, 25mg viagra

if you take dbol preworkout take it 2-3 hours before hitting the weights
 
I've always been told that Arginine helps with blood flow & erections, not the opposite.

Arginine should always be taken with Lysine. Especially for those out there with herpes simplex.

I've heard L-Citrulline actually boosts NO production more than Arginine
