Johnboy, your info is incorrect. Klonopin is a benzo like xanax, but it is more comparable to valium since they both have a much longer half life than xanax and other benzo's such as ativan. A good rule of thumb is that the longer the half life, the less addictive potential associated with the benzo. The only other similarity with xanax is that they are both about equally as potent milligram for milligram, which is like 10-20 times stronger than valium, hence the low dose units they come in, ranging from .25 to 2 mg\pill. Valium on the other hand usually is 10 mg\tab. And as far as euphoric effects, valium and klonopin are superior as far as I'm concerned, whereas xanax mainly works only on immediate anxiety and has a stronger propensity than other benzo's for blacking out. Not a good thing. I've tried all and have never had a problem abstaining from them when I felt like it, but the only one of the three that ever got me in trouble was xanax, which was responsible for several blackout incidences in the past.
