METALLICA BLOKE STABS SELF WITH SURF BOARD

Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammet stabbed himself in the armpit with his own Surfboard over the weekend, resulting in hospitalization and six stitches, PlayLouder is rudely amused to report.
The accident happened when Kirk, who isn't very good at surfing, got tossed of a wave.
"It's a very rare occurrence in surfing," said a spokesperson for Surfers Rights group, SUFA. "We would hate for this to put anyone of trying the sport."
As a result, Kirk isn't allowed to play guitar for at least eight weeks, but has offered to "sing, play percussion, tambourine or a little piano during the songwriting and recording sessions for the group's forthcoming CD." Bless.
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by terrible accidents. Never surf, brothers and sisters, for 'tis a foolish occupaton. Talk!
