Arnold Schwarzenegger told SCI FI Wire that writer/director John Milius is working on a new draft of the proposed King Conan sequel to Conan the Barbarian. "I just had a cigar with him the other day," Schwarzenegger said in an interview. "He's rewriting it as we speak, because he has written it, and it was a 168-page script."

Schwarzenegger said it was the advice of the Matrix creators, the Wachowski brothers, that prompted Milius to cut his script down. "One of the Wachowski brothers called and told him the script would take too much time and be a three-and-a-half-hour movie, [that] he should cut it down to 120 pages and take certain things out. And that's what he's doing right now."

There is no finish date in sight yet for the script. "As you know, with John, things take time," Schwarzenegger said. "He's not the quickest guy in town."

Yes it is. I noticed also that T3 will start filming in April. The role of the twentysomething John Connor has not yet been cast.

You all remember when at the end it shows an old arnie sitting on a throne and then it says "But that is another story" King Conan is what the story was always suppose to be about. Finally we get to see it.

I think Arnold could do a great job with this if he got on the anabolics like he did for T3 and they dressed him up like the scene with him sitting on the throne with a gray beard and all.

That's pretty old snippet there of info actually.

They were talking about Vin Diesel playing the young Conan or Conan's son. Something like that. He'd have to bulk up some more to fit those shoes.

50 bucks says its going to be arnold sending someone else out on a mission for him, with arnold himself playing a strong figure who still beats the hell out of everybody in the finale, all in about a weeks worth of shooting time

this will go down as the ultimate campaign film

3 hour films reminds me of "Alexander" which was pure shit! Hope this 3 hour one is worth it!

You can't compare Alexander to a possible King Conan movie.

One thing Conan is not, is BI-SEXUAL fruitcake.

Big difference.

Although, not sure I can say the same thing about Vin Diesel after hearing some of the rumors of him being the gayness.
