not a terrible film, but fairly weak in a number of ways. i won't give details, partially because i it saw in july and i'm too feeble to remember (or even try).
i had no problem with clive owen as arthur. i like him, his presence, etc.
but again, some of the choices made didn't sit well with me.
i seem to recall a gay little wedding at the end? ugh.
excalibur is better, but still has that cheesy early 80s/late 70s vibe to it.
the legend of king arthur is one of the greatest in the history of the western world.
there's so much there, that any movie would have a hard time living up. but even still,
'King Arthur' was acceptable only as entertainment for an evening, and nothing worth
remembering or seeing again.
as always, these are only my opinions and as such...are absolutely correct and
better than yours.
