killing bulls

nicknot

New member
in portugal, and wour neighbours (spain) have the habit of killing bulls !

what do you think of it ?

it's a little stupid don't you think

By the whay ... Ernest Hemingway Love it

Are you talking bull fighting or just walking around bonking them on the head with sledgehammers?

bull fighting of course, we use hammers for other purposes here !

It's a big deal in Mexico but for me it seems rather silly. A bull vs. a human in an enclosed area where the goal is to outsmart it and kill it slowly.

I could see if it was being hunted for food or even to thin down an overpopulated heard but bullfighting is just stupid. Give the bull a weapon besides its horns and take it out of an enclosed arena and lets see who ends up with his head mounted on a wall.

If they could kill the bull 1 on 1 and do it bare handed I would be impressed and maybe amused for 30 or more seconds. :alien:

i have the same opinion
but here there are affictionates that live to do that

in UE you have this dog fights whith pitt bulls. now europe is adopting that. specially france where pitt bulls are now forbiden.

my labrador is also agains that shit

hammers...girls love it
i think we should import fight girls to see them :splat:

LOL

Personally, i couldn't care less but it is a part of our respective countries traditions.

In this era of MTV culture....people want to stay close to their roots.

Besides, after its killed they DO eat the bull.

Some people seem to think they just thow it in the garbage....LOL

I've gone to a couple of bull fights myself in Las Ventas
in Madrid. It was OK.

Just because something is part of a tradition doesn't make it right.

If you are going to eat the bull why not just kill it instead of having it taunted and tortured?

If you are going to talk about things being "part of our respective countries traditions" then what about the Germans and Jews?

Since they killed off six million people [give or take a couple hundred thousand] should they fire up their grills and toss on a few Jewish people for old time sakes? It's that kind of "tradition" that makes countries look like shit in the eyes of other countries.

Where did I compare the two?

[reading it again]

I was simply addressing your comment about "part of our respective countries traditions" and how traditions aren't always the best way to go. You are the one that said I was comparing the two. Maybe I should have been politically correct and listed all the bad things in the world rather than one example of "tradition".

Don't stick words in my mouth - unlike other people at the site I won't sit here and play your petty little games.

I am beyond getting angry.

People just amuse me now.

Better luck with another person.

Sorry, I just pissed my pants laughing. That's what my seven year old does when he gets busted in a little fib.

There is nothing I hate more than seeing an animal suffer. Quick deaths don't bother me too much. I seen a bullfight in Mexico City, you would have to pay me to see another. I highly doubt that many educated people are into bullfights.
