Man I would certainly take the time to make certain whoever is performing the surgery is at the top of their field.

Having spoken to doctors with regards to other similar matters I think people would be shocked at how many surgeons are using patients as essentially practice dummies to learn new and complex procedures.

Do your preparation bro.

LOL

That's just to determine if you actually require surgery. Surgeons will always advise "surgery." Its what they are paid to do.

But the degree of difference depending on the surgeon is astounding. And many many people end up fucked for life even with relatively simple procedures.

Now with many procedures for example people are choosing laproscopic, which involves four small incisiions instead of one large cut. Minimal scarring and far quicker recovery with less pain.

The problem is many surgeons have little experience performing the procedure, and are learning on their patients. As a result they are often experiencing far more severe complications than those who had it done with the traditional method.

Anyone who goes near my spinal column with a knife would have to be the very best money could buy

don't really trust you with your karma level. you know that karma level really is the only way to know if anyone is giving you good advice or not.

I have and I am. Much appreciated either way.

Have had a first and a second opinion and am in the midst of a 3rd. The 1st was asian, so I don't want him to do my surgery (squinty mudderfugger).

The second I liked a ton and he has done the same operation over 250 times. He was awesome with his explanations, etc.

The third is a Brown U doc that did my pops' back surgery and is mucho experienced with this surgery.

Trust me, I ain't no dummy. :)
