Keeping Gains

Is it just a myth or is it true the longer and more gradual it takes you to make gains while on a cycle, the better chance you have of keeping them. Obviously with the help of post cycle treatment.(clomid, etc..)
 
yes and no. if you put your muscel on too fast with something like dbol, then yes you'll lose most of it versus if you are using something like test where it won't come as fast but the gains are far more keepable.

there are certain types of gear that will help aid you in your quest to keep your gains. gh is the best. but winny and tren and all of those work well too.

but like you said, post cycle maintenance is very important for many bros to be able to keep their gains.

but i would agree slow and steady wins the race
 
Also

remember that once you come off, depending how long-lasting the compound/ester is, you will need to be careful of overtraining. You no longer have the juice in your system to aid in speedy recovery. Hence, you will need to back off a bit, NOT intensity, but certainly number of sets. Of course maintaining a great diet and doing the therapy will help as well. You can also throw in 200 mg/day of DNP for a week followed by some clen for two weeks. I cannot rememeber the topic, but a search might yield the thread on DNP at low doses aiding in post-cycle upregulation of natural T3 levels, coupled with its obvious anti-protelytic effects and the potential for a VERY weak anabolic rebound assuming you were on very short esters. Clen is anti-catabolic as well. Just my .02 cents.
