how do I play the programs that are divx formatted? I want to watch the Ringu (Japanese version of The Ring) but all I get is a wavy line.

What do I need to get?

usually when something doesn't work for me in WMP, I use the divx player:

the divx codec should do the trick, but you should know that there are many codecs out there that are getting used.

It seems that many people are going to the x-vid codec over divx with the newer movies.

I use the Tsunami Filter Pack. It has probably every codec that a person would need.

The nimo codec pack will also get the job done.
