karma?

ok ever since ive been coming to this board ive noticed some of you giving karma to someone who posts something good and negative karma to someone who pisses you off. i used to think karma was slang for something but it isnt now that i see that small karma icon down there. whats it about?

If you like what someone posts, or they give you helpful info, click on the karma symbol and you can send another member positive karma, which is points. You can also send negative karma if you dissapprove of a comment or statement, and points are taken away. Basically that is what it is about.

and what happens when you accumulate a certain amount of points? does george have someone give you a bj or something?

The more karma you receive the more little green boxes you have next to your name in the right hand corner. I hope that helps you out.

Okay, this may be the dumbest question today, but I understand green karma = good. Bad karma is red (correct?). So what's the gray karma for? Is it good karma from non-platinum members?

Grey karma is when you only have 50 points and below of karma. I guess at that point you don't have enough "power" to produce positive or negitive karma, so it comes out balanced grey karma.


Form what I understand, the system was supposed to weed out crappy members. Shitty members would accumlate negitive karma and the mods would then watch out for them. It never really worked out that way, so it really serves no true purpose, but it's a nice way of saying good post, or fuck off. Form my experience most members who send negitive don't have the testicular fortiude to sign it.
