quick question for you nimble-brained cannuk peeps.
Say I've got a touch of a criminal record, a few short pages long...no felonies but a hodge-podge of low-level crimes (assault, dui, etc...).
Will their be any trouble with me visiting your "great" country for a weekend?
I've never had a problem before, then again i haven't been back since before 9/11...will they let me in?

cause I've been hearing stories about my michigan brethern getting denied at the Sault for DUI's...something about DUI's being a felony in canada...I got one but over a decade ago. i'm wondering if this will keep me out

I live in a private area with lots of 2 tracks...drinking and driving is fun recreation when driving 10 mph on a backwoods track.

hhmmm, possible. Canada has gotten pretty hardcore with drinking and driving over the past few years especially. Hit up your government website and search for the section that deals with entry into other countries. Usually covers everything from what you need in terms of identity to cross the border to what will keep you from being allowed in. If you can't find specifics, they usually post an 800 number you can call. I'd check into thoroughly, last thing you want is to drive a couple of hours to the border and get turned around.

that sucks man.....i was so close to getting a DUI this summer...the 2 cops actually had me in the back of their car for 1 hour lookinng at the scene of the accident(no other vehicles were involved) and fuckin with me....one of these jackasses in the car infront of me who i happen to the know the driver of gets out and hops a fence when the cops come....so the cops were like "if you dont telll me this kids name and why he ran your getting a DUI"..i just kept saying over and over "please officer, i never met this kid before in my life" ...they finally dropped me off at my town boarder and had my car towed...no DUI..im so lucky it isnt even funny. i was shitfaced.
