Don't they allow "walk ins" for their students to "practice on"?

If so, how much is each visit. I do know some chiropractic schools specialize in sports massage. Does Life College?

Don't know about the Life folks, but you can certainly get very cheap or free massages from people at Atlanta School of Massage.

You are correct sir...walk in, (outpatient care) is 75 dollars the first visit (includes full x ray, physical, etc.) then each additional visit is only 15 dollars..

and yes, life college chiropractic has a sports medicine field in chiropractic that is very well respected...i can hook you up for free if you live in the area...hit me up on pm or email..my roomate is in his last quarter of chiro school adn i can get him to adjust you for free.

holler at me

HOLLA HOLLA HOLLA.

Yo, if it is free, I am certainly interested. Where would I have to go? To the Life College Campus. Tell me more please.

Musclebrains, tell me more about the free massages at Atlanta Massage School. Where is that located? Do you have to be a city residence or something? Next time I come to Atlanta, I would love to have a free massage.

Kak, do I have to call. What do I ask for? I just say "hey, need an adjustment?" Is this the free one? More info if you got a minute buddy.

Big Dogg..here's a quick summary for the study of chiropractic.

Chiropractic medicine is the total opposite of allopathic medicine (medical doctors) in that the simple belief that our bodies are made to ward off most disease. Because our DNA and genetic make up is so similar to many things in nature (with most plants, our DNA is about 90% similar, with apes it almost 95%!), our body can fight and adjust to most everything in nature which includes disease and sickness.

The reason why most people become sick is because of the lack of proper spinal alignment. Our spinal cord has nerves that are connected to every major organ in our body. When there is a "fault" or " misalignment," that organ cannot function optimally and sometimes our immune system is broken down, or we feel pain in that organ (example: headaches, colds, or even migraines)

The study of chiropractic is based on the belief of prevention not treatment. Yes, major ailments are "treated" through chiropractic, but it doesnt stop there. Chiropractic alignment (regularly) can also allow the body to naturally fight disease and ailments without drugs that may cause side effects, addiction, and cost a lot of money that go to insurance agencies, doctors, and pharmaceutical companies. This is why chiropractors dont cost as much as medical doctors, and also why malpractic insurance is roughly estimated at a few thousand dollars a year versus many thousands of dollars a year for hopsitals and doctors.

Chiropractic also concentrates on proper diet, (many chiropractors hava nurtrition degree), exercise, and a healthy style of living. No knock on medical doctors, but sometimes all they care about is "fixing the problem" (through drugs or surgery) then seeing you when they see you again. Chiropractic focuses on preventing problems consistenly so that regular visits are just that--regular visits.

There are many reports of migraines, headaches, scoliosis and other ailments that patients have suffered for years that simply "disappear" from patients lives due to regular visits.

Here is my personal outlook. Our bodies are fortresses. If we build our bodies strong enough, and precisely enough, nobody can invade or fortress. Chiropractic can build you strong walls and lines of defense.

Medical doctors (medicine or surgery) basically doesnt worry about the invasion, they just see if it happens and if it doesn, just bomb the shit out of your own fortress that may or may not have collateral damage. That damage is why there are malpractice suits and high insurance for the medicine today.

any more questions about pre-requisites and paths of study, PM me big dogg.
