I found out what happened.

Apparently Sharman who makes Kazaa legal forced the makers of K++ to stop offering it for download.

the last update was version 2.4.3 and that will probably be the last one.

well there is a whole queue system based on how much you upload. if you share a lot and people get a lot from you, you get to jump ahead in other peoples queues. it's to encourage sharing. emule is slow as all hell if you're not sharing, or sharing very little.

Also with emule, your download speed is only half of your theoretical download speed. So in order to get it faster you need to set your download speed higher in the settings.
