Just rented "The Bourne Identity"...

Yeah, it wasn't bad. It was a phenomenal movie but it had some good scenes and the scting was above par for that genre I'd say.

Same here....at first I was laughing at the thought of Matt Damon acting the part of a hard-ass/tough guy, but it turned out to be pretty kick ass. They did a good job.

He kicked some serious ass in this flick...it was well played out. I liked the setting of the flick as well....kind of James Bondish.

I seen it at the theatre. I might have to go rent or buy it now that it is out.

Yes,the fight scenes were fast,slick and close quartered.Sort of a Wing-chun typed choreography.Good stuff.

off topic, but if you havent seen the movie Snatch, go see it. Saw it last night instead of the State of the Union. If you liked pulp fiction you'll like Snatch. I like Snatch.

Yup....very solid flick....For da stoners, rent Waking Life....Cool flick to chill to when you're flat and stable...

Snatch rocks. Each time I watch it I laugh a little more..."Shut up and sit down you big bald fuck."..."He's about as Jewish as he is a fuckin' monkey."..."Have you been using dogshit for toothpaste?"...Too many classic lines in there to quote, lol.

I liked the Bourne Id movie version better than the book. That movie was kick ass.

In Snatch I like Benicio Del Torro as a degenerate gambler....I think of him and that song Viva Las Vegas everytime I sit down at a blackjack table.

LOL,he was all sweaty and shit.

if you like snatch get Lock, Stock, and 2 Smoking Barrels. it's just as good, if not better. Guy Ritchie directed both.

I rented Lock, Stock a while back. I laughed until my @$$ choked. I saw Bourne in the theater and I bought the dvd. Even on the small screen that Embassy escape scene camera shot can cause vertigo.

How about that punch that Brad Pitt knocked out that big SOB with? That was a tight ass punch. That fool got knocked the fuck out! One of the best punches i've ever seen filmed. LOL...that sounds funny...Brad being a tough guy and everything...ya know what I mean? I'll probably get flamed for this, but I think he is a good actor...or at least, he has been in some damn good movies.

B. Identity: Yeah, those car chase scenes were pretty tight as well. That's it, i'm getting it this weekend!

Actually I agree with you on Brad.He has diversity and is able to convincingly play roles from different genres and make them work. There are a lot of Pitt haters on board, but he's one of the more talented young actors out there today.

Although the movie had its good points, it does not even come remotely close to doing the book justice. They left out Carlos the Jackal for christ sakes, which was a very major part of the story line.

I think it could have been ten times better if it had followed the original plot more closely. The film would have had to have been longer, but well worth it.

If you liked this movie I guarantee you will love the books, all three in the Bourne series were excellent..

that's what I heard, there's also another brit crime movie along those lines, and the title of the movie escapes me.

Hell yes! Those first fighting scenes in the park and in the embassy kicked some major ass. I was pumped! :) Good movie and very far away from that crappy Vin Diesel "hey I'm a tough guy who cracks stupid jokes" shit.

Saw it a couple of days ago. Top flick. Didn't think the role would suit Damon, having seen him in The Talented Mr.Ripley, but he was excellent. Highly recommended.

Amen to that man. I do think personally that Lock,Stock is a better flick than snatch in my opinion. I am also agreein with the people that really liked "The Bourne Identity" I didn't think Matt D could pull off a role like that, however he played that part damn well. If anyone hasn't seen it and isn't convinced yet to go watch it I will say again WATCH IT!!

Damn solid flick.Highly recommend if you like action.

The movie pales in comparison to the Book Trilogy.

The Bourne Identity, The Burne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum.

Probably one of the best trilogies I have ever read.

Fonz

I agree with Fonz. This version of the movie totally sucked!

The mini-series a few years ago, with Richard Chamberlaine were so much better. But the book beats them both.

I thought it was a good flick too. Especially at the end when the sniper was shooting at him and he ran through the woods and shot him with a shotgun.

bourne identity was a pleasant surprise. I thought it was a cool flick with some good hand to hand combat scenes. I was thoroughly entertained.
