Just Had Minor Surgery....

.....And was wondering how long I should wait to begin my cycle? I had otoplasty surgery which was done yesterday(pinning back of the ears). Very minor surgery, only needed local anestia and was able to drive home. I originally wanted to start my cycle 3 weeks ago, but since I knew I was scheduled to have the surgery, I did the responsible thing and waited. You guys have no idea how freakin ready I am to start this thing and how much this extra wait has been killing me. I decided to be honest with the doc. I told him that I plan on running a cycle and asked him how long I should wait until I start. Obviously he told me that steroids weren't a good idea, but if I was hell bent on doing it, I should wait 6 more weeks. I was thinking more like 2 more weeks(It wasn't a major surgery). Has anybody had this or a similar type operation done and how long did you wait. 6 weeks seems like an excessive amount of time.
thanks
tzan

That is what I'm freakin saying. I realize the doc is going to lean on the side of caution, but 6 weeks?? While saying that, I did pay for the cosmetic surgery, and actually had it performed, so the last thing I want to do is go and mess it all up. Need as many opinuions as possible. So overdue to begin this cycle.......

how can u mess it up... its not like u had reconstructive surgery on your shoulder... do u lift with your ears? lol... i may not be a MD ... but i would think that you wont need that much "recovery" time to go back to hitting it hard

tzan remember i told you i had my gallbladder removed in nov mid way thru a cycle, A. i healed faster on the deca, B. they tell u 6 weeks, some surgeons 4 weeks, but call your doc if your feeling fine with no pain killers, they might ok you to start lifting, my surgeon said 6 weeks, at 3 weeks i was fine and he had me come in, lifting can strain the parts that were cut or whatever, but if they are healed your fine, i took a shot the second i got back to zona from the midwest where i did the surgery. if you are on painkillers don't do the dbol, however, please take my advice here, don't take painkillers if you don't neeeed them, dude i got used to them and was addicted, and breaking that was hell, suicidal depression, sweating and insomnia like none other. so be careful with em, are you in pain at all?

Thanks for the replies fellas. My question is regarding when to start my cycle, not lifting. The doc told me I could start lifting in a week, but to hold off my cycle for 6 weeks.

Bruce-As far as pain goes, I had the surgery yesterday, and I'm already done with my painkillers. All I needed was a few for yesterday, the rest are gifts to my friends. Today I feel much better. I would consider myself a pretty fast healer.

My main concern is starting my cycle as soon as it would be safe to.

I just had a rhinoplasty, septoplasty, and my turbinates fixed.was supposed to wait 6 to 8 weeks and i only waited 4.Ive been fine and mine was major surgery. So I say go for it.

I had gyno surgery almost a week ago.

I won't be doing jack shit for 6 weeks. At least thats the plan. I know I won't be able to resist the gym lol

i did mine literally 3 weeks after, i was supposed to wait 4 but doc okayed 3 to lift, you'll be fine, steroids only make you heal faster it won't hurt anything, the only thing is your gonna wanna go hard as hell and you have to go light at first to make sure you don't injure

Otoplasty surgery comes in many different forms that can vary from something fairly simple, to very complex. Healing after surgery can be affected by what you put into your body and the stresses of activity. Such issues are best explored with your surgeon. Not following that advice can result in failure that sometimes has no resonable correction options.

Hope this helps,
