I know, I know, go to the juice board to post this silverbackn. But, I'm curious as to if anyone on C&C is competing this summer? When and where?

It's all good, I have a lot of respect for anyone who pushes the envelope mentally and physically. I couldn't compete in powerlifting because I'm not very strong comparatively speaking (total would be around 1500 for the big 3)stilleto said:i just did a few weeks ago.
but you probably mean bodybuilding, not powerlifting. In which case, my answer is "never".
Yep, I'm doing the Arkansas and the Missouri. They are both in July, they are just 2 weeks apart so I figure I might as well.Gymgurl said:Are you?
The NPC Southern States is in Florida isn't it? That's a pretty tough show from what I hear. You must be the real deal! I'm assuming you are talking about bodybuilding?Sassy69 said:Need pix btw!
I'm scheduled for the NPC Southern States & NPC Masters Nationals in July as well.
I hope that works out for you! Injuries are frustrating as hell.jenscats5 said:I'm hoping to compete in September again if I can recover quickly enough....
Edit: In Figure btw....

One of my good friends may do the show. I couldn't imagine competing in a show that big. I have only done 3 state level shows. I think the judges are leaning more towards aesthetics now with the ladies and size isn't as important now. Which I think is good for the sport. BTW, you look great in the pic!Sassy69 said:Yep Ft Lauderdale & yep BB - the day I turn 41 actually. Yes its a very big show. Its been my nemesis since I started competition in 2000. My target show is the NPC Masters because I qualified for it last yr, but the Southern States is the week before. If I dont like how I'm coming in I can at least compete in the Masters category instead of the Open. I've got a bunch of friends in FL (used to live in Ft Lauderdale) and its also a chance to see them and maybe give a "Fuck u buddy" to a certain former trainer....
Not too worried about where I place but I'm sort of interested in seeing what I can pull off w/o getting hyuge. More like an aesthetics approach than a mass approach.

I had a bad knee before my very first show. I couldn't train legs for about 8 weeks and you could definitely tell. I am quad dominant and it took my advantage away because I couldn't train them. Hope you have a speedy recovery!Gymgurl said:I will if I can get my knee to stop messing up everytime I begin to lift heavy darn it..I had Picked July 15th.....but depends on the knee and I don't think so
