I got it for $1830 delivered.
I was waiting for a call from a local dealer to see if I could just pick it up from there and forego the shipping charges, but the guy has'nt called me back. I could'nt wait anymore. Forget him. snooze/loose/broom

I don't think this is in stock, I hope the wait is'nt 3 months like my ladder was. I need a DVD player now. Anyone have a suggestion? It's a 540p and 1080i capable HDTV.

projection TV's are so 90's, you do realize it is about to be 2005

I had another thread explaining why I chose this (relatively cheap) RPTV. I was looking to buy a Sony 70 inch LCD HDTV now down to about $5-6k They started at $7-9k. . That's what I really want, but the picture is'nt as great as it could be, then a new Sony is coming out with a much better PQ but is also more $$ about $10-12k. So I figured on getting this one to "hold me over" until I can get the other types of sets for a better price and when the technology improves.

Also, it can be argued that RPTVs are STILL the best PQ around. lol I know it's hard to believe but ask a few vets in the trade... This particular set probably won't do it, but there are great ones for more money, (Mitsubishi 65inch $4k). If you get a 65 Plasma (which does'nt match the RPTV qualities in CERTAIN areas, you'll end up paying $20,000 or more. Not yet bro... not yet...

Plus this would be my first HDTV experience other than the tiny 22 inch I have in my kitchen. The small TV got me psyched to buy this one. I was finding myself sitting in my kitchen watching TV because of the HD, instead of the living room.
