job description/research assistant

I love to research "products" and cruise pubmed & read cutting edge supplement books. I am researching right now to come up with a product catered to endurance athletes, in the mean time i want to get a job. Im looking for a entry level position in a co. that needs people to do what i like to do (researching compounds with ergogenic effects). Would it be called "research assistant"? & what co. besides nutrition & universities should i send my resume?
