Jean P Fux

Gotta give the guy props for rehabing an injury that severe. If you think about it, he has basically been a paraplegic since that injury occurred. I admire his optimism if nothing else ya know?!

695 lbs squat is not for kids, you should know that this guy has been training since 1984 (maybe before you was born) and I don't think that he did something stupid or he was stupid, everybody serious in this sport knows the risk of a real hard training session, insulin shot, cynomel cycle, etc. Squat with 695 take to be a man and return to the gym after this accident take to be a champion.

How about training with weights you can actually handle? Thousands of athletes do it every day. Did you ever notice how when you see videos of guys buckling under big weights, its always a misguided powerlifter or bodybuilder? Anyone see the guy trying to "powercheathalfcurl" with like 400 lbs on the bar...when he swung it up his ankle snapped in two...Youll never se an olympic weightlifter do soemething as ridiculous like trying to halfsquat more weight than your skeleton can handle.

So far as I know and whats public, he has squatted more, HOWEVER the squat rack was not setup properly to catch the weight, that was the fuck up.

I know a non pro who is a former powerlifter now bodybuilder, who could squat 727, so I doubt that Fux was at his max to show off.

Thats the danger of incomplete squatting. If you go past parallel you arent coming back. Thats why if you stick to real squats you are working with weights you can handle throughout the full range of motion. BTW I doubt your friend does full squats with anywhere near 700 pounds. Not trying to be a smartass, but the way so many people squat is just bad form.
