jay and silent bob ?

I saw it last week at the sneek preview, and if you run a search, I do believe there is a thread about this film already.

It was Kevin Smith's biggest opening to date, with like 11.1 million or something. Took 4th or 5th place this weekend.

My friend told me it sux0red.

But I don't have a definate answer for you since I'm not going to see it.

it did sux0r warik. Well it didn't suck but it sure didn't live up to the expectation i had for it, which i set high for some reason. It had some funny parts, but overall isn't THAT funny, one of the lower kevin smith movies in my opinion below mallrats and dogma.

I didn't expect to like it at all!! But I just laughed the whole way thru. The important thing is that you have to be versed in the Kevin Smith universe. You have to know who all the characters are, and all that. (Because they all show up here!) Lots and lots of "in-jokes", too. It's like Kevin Smith just called up all his friends, got high, and this movie is the result!

Maybe I just liked it so much because I'm from New Jersey! It really is like that here! I just passed a Jay and Silent Bob 5 minutes ago. They were hanging out in front of 7-11.....

Anyway, yeah--absolutely go see it!

I thought it blew, I love every other movie he has made. My GF hates his movies and she never stopped laughing?

The story isn't as good as Chasing Amy or Dogma, but come on - it's a movie about Jay and Silent Bob. We're not talking "War and Peace" here.

It's an incredibly funny movie about two idiots. If you've seen the other films and enjoyed the characters - you'll LOVE this for all the tie ins and goofs that are brought forward.

The scene about "Good Will Hunting 2" still has me laughing (which for those of you that didn't know - Kevin Smith was a Producer on the first one).

See it this weekend. See it next weekend. Keep going back.

"About 228 F-words (one is spelled out) and a few profane hand gestures, about 69 scatological terms, 73 anatomical references, 34 sexual references, 43 mild obscenities, 3 religious profanities, 16 religious exclamations, many derogatory references to homosexuals, African Americans and Caucasians, and other insults."

It was pretty good---but I did expect more----

LOL, someone was paying attention. ;)

Jason lee did not have a big enough roll. He MADE Mallrats and Chasing Amy.

His rolls as two different characters (Brodie & Banky) where more like cameos.

Maybe that's because they were cameos. This was Jay and Silent Bob's movie and it was freakin' hilarious! Go see. Go see again. You'll laugh your ass off!
