I work in a large technology and use the corporate fitness center to work out. It's relatively small and not a lot of people use it so you can generally see what everyone is doing and who's new.
Yesterday, I see an asian man mid 40s walking on the treadmill in bluejeans carrying 5 pound dumbbells. He wasn't moving his arms though, they were straight down at his sides. It was like he was doing a Farmer's Walk on the treadmill that lasted for 10 minutes, then he was gone.
Usually the white people (American born) will walk in and go straight to a machine whether they know how to use it or not but it seems the asian people (not native born) have some weird exercise that defies explanation.
I wonder what the difference in culture is and what they've been taught.
