kidney stones again... this fucking sucks and i expect this cocktail they shot into my IV will wear off soon... just thought i would vent.

oof!!!!!!!!!!!!

so that's what the worst pain you ever felt was...........no wonder you were/are in pain!!!

You have my sympathy, pee stones are like the male pain equivelent of giving birth. I had some freinds get and pass them before, didn't look too fun. FYI if you keep getting them you can supplement with both Mg citrate and K citrate to reduce the reocurence by around 60-70%. I had my broly's run that and they have had no oxalate stone formation since.

yeah i just learned about k citrate yesterday... lot of good it does me now...LOL but in the future i will be definately taking those.

Wiz - they are essentially calcium oxalate stones and are formed from crystals forming in the kidneys. They arise due to the concentration of a particular substance (usually acidic) in the urine that exceeds its solubility and hence you get the solid crystals to pass.

I thought only very rarelly do they make people pass them these days.I saw a show where they submerge the patient in water and run a small amount of electricity:confused: throught the person, and it breaks the stones up considerablly so its easy to pass.

In light of what sermon said, my father went through some sort of procedure whereby the stone was broken up by administering some sort of strong pressure to the area in which the stone is. I'm not sure if this entailed the doctor hitting him in the back with a sledgehammer repeatedly, but whatever it was, it broke up the stone and was much easier to pass.

that's only if the stone is too large to pass... personally i think any stone is too large to pass and most of the time you cannot even see them when you do pass them but trust me you will know when you pass them... god damn will you know.
