Injuries suck. I am dealing with a hernia and a bad shoulder. It sucks. I think I'll need surgery again in a month and that will keep me out of the gym for another 3-4 months.

well, that's exactly my point.

the emphasis on full range of motion or perfect form is not neccessarily true. sometimes moving the weight by any means neccesary (within reason) is the way to get it done.

i try to combine a little bit of both. for heavy compound lifts i tend to slack a little on form and then for other isolation exercises i'm a little more form oriented
