i did a search, and all i get are the doses for sleeep. but isnt it really used for depression, and if so what would the dose be for a 230lb male, and how many doses a day.

no it is extrememly unusual for it to be used for depression
i havent heard of it, but i can see it considered for someone with other psychotic problems to calm their ass down
but uhh i think that would not hehlp depression whatsoever
it doesnt chemically effect the brain at all like anti-depressants do

I don't *think* it would be indicated for depression. Anxiety probably.

if u are depressed and have any risk of suicide or even contemplating it, valium and other downers are possibly what could push a person over the edge and just say fuck it and OD

Valium is a Benzo. Highly addictive. It is not used for depression--------depression can actually be a side effect
It is used for mild sedation before medical procedures, some docs give it to help with sleep, and to help drug withdrawal.
It's a downer----you need something to lift you up.

Addictive?
Like you say it's a downer. I never found it addictive. I think that's just some leftover media BS from the 60's. Now Percodan, Dilaudid, that's another story. It might not be indicated for depression, but it sure makes your problems go away. Nice. And addictive.
