is this true

[got muscle]

just read a site about tamoxifen (nolvadex) and it listed a few possible side effects.
it can cause eye damage, damage to the retina and cornea. this can occur with a dose of 40mg/day. it inflames ans weakens the veins, causing bleeding, clotting and obstruction of blood vessels. they said it also acted as a carcinogen, and was toxic to the liver.
has anyone else heard anything like this?

Yes it is true that visual disturbances and liver problems are listed "possible" side effects. These and other sides are all listed on the package insert from the mfg. I believe most sides went away when the product was discontinued according to the PDR. What type of site were you looking at? and what references were they quoting? You really need to compare apples to apples.

All drugs have possible sides. If someone was trying to examine the risks of a certain drug. What would be important would be the percentage of patients who expeirenced them, and the sample size of the study. IMO.
