ok. ill tell you. to make edonkey work, you ahve to strip completely naked and do the 'edonkey please dont be unreachable' dance. if you do the dance the right way, and all your floppy bits look suitably hilarious, then you get to connect and download everything. if youre too reserved and dont dance with enough abandon for the edonkey gods, well, youre screwed, you get 7 years of downloading drought and famine, and have to buy overpriced CDs from record stores

DC++ is good if you know of good hubs. Not easy for a noob to find. I only know of one hub that I visit that has forum (not this one) members on it. I use it for back-up software titles, not music.

Very true. That's why I use it at school, because I can connect to my schoool's hub and it's easy to find songs/videos... never used it while not at school (I can't connect to my school's hub & dl from people at school unless I'm connected to the 'net at the school.)
