My major out of college was accounting. And back then you used lotus. And dang I was dang good at it. I could do advanced macros and all. Well I have some new business ventures coming up and I could use electronic spreadsheets to help manage it but I don't feel like learning microsoft's spreadsheet software especially since I know lotus like the back of my hand. Is there any versians of lotus for windows or how about dos versians of lotus out there somewhere?

Thanks.

Whatever. We are not talking about hardware here. We are talking about the best spreadsheet software ever developed. It blows away oh rich nerdboys anyday.

Actually, we probably are talking about hardware as well. Simply for OS compatibility sake.

Ask Jesus for a copy, he answers prayers I hear.

Circa 1988...

Check on the IBM website. They bought lotus. I don't know if the sell it as a stande alone or in a bundle with lotus notes now.

Lotus Smartsuite can still be found. I have '97 edition. If you really want to be old school then get Visicalc.

curling... you are almost right.

In it's day it WAS the best spreadsheet. I used it too. But those days are gone now. Lotus is still a strong company but even they saw the writing on the wall and got out of the spreadsheet business. Get excel and learn it. It's not hard and it's much better now than lotus was then.

REally? How long did it take you to learn it?

Not long at all. Get one of those "For Dummies" books. It will probably be all you need to get started. Those books are good intros.

If you want to go on the cheap, you can get some open source (Open Office) solutions that have spreadsheet software.

LOL

Dude,

I work for IBM and I don't even use Lotus 123. If you really want it, send me a PM and I will put it on our FTP site for you.
