Is race an issue in the IFBB?

I've just read the interview with Lee Priest at:

Lee Priest sounds pretty pissed and bitter. What do you think?

(This is a question, not a comment - I posted it here, because I figure there'd be more people knowledgable on IFBB politics here)

Maybe there isn't, but Mr. Priest shouldn't make comments like that simply based on the fact that there are people out in this world who would take great offense to that statement--especially since a caucasion man made the comment about what IFBB "really" stands for.
On the flip side, if we can joke about it, then maybe there is progress. I just think that there should have been a little more disgression. Just my 2 cents.

Bitter Yeah, but probably right. The guy has a great physique, and on many occassions should be placed higher (Although these comments will not help). The race stuff was definitely Joking.
The only thing he was way off on was Shawn Ray. Ray's physique has always been top notch-He doesn't walk around on stage with a fucking huge GH Gut or a Round look.
In my opinion, he looks the way a BBer should look.
