Is my PCT adequate?

I know there is a dedicated forum for this, but that place has been a ghost town lately. I was hoping some of you bros could post up how you felt at different stages of PCT for your cycles.

My "cycle" was an 18 month trial of HRT that left me unhappy with the results. I was using Test Cyp + HCG (all done under doctor supervision), so I started my PCT with "functioning" and full balls. After expressing my desire to end HRT, my Endo told me to just quit...cold turkey. I don't think he's had many people want to quit, so I told him about it fucking me up to just quit cold turkey. He agreed to Clomid to restart my system, but I talked him into Nolva because I was scared of the mental problems that Clomid has brought to others.

Anyway, I've been on Nolvadex @ 40mg/day for the last 2.5 weeks. I am sooo tired, mildly depressed, and have absolutely zero sex drive. My dick feels like there is no blood in it.

My last blood test results (blood drawn after 10 days of Nolva) show that I've been shut down real hard:

Total T: 93 L (241-827)
Free T: 1.4 L (9.5-43)
Estradiol (E2): 14 ok (13-54)
LH: 2.6 ok (1.5-9.6)

I am encouraged by the fact that my LH is starting to come up. During HRT, my LH was always 0. However, my Total T and Free T are in the toilet. The previous labs showed a Total T of 56 after 4 days on Nolva.


Should I be seeing more change at this point? I was planning on being able to scale back on the Nolva a bit after 3 weeks, but my body does not feel even close to being ready. I'm thinking about adding 25mg/day of Clomid. I was scared of using it before, but I'd like to feel better soon!

Bro I have never had a problem with clomid sides and the clomid definately helped get my body back to functioning at a normal level much faster. Give it a shot and run the nolva with it. Good luck Bro!

Definitely follow the advice of littleb. I have been off almost 10 weeks now and at about week 7 my nuts just were not firing like they should. My PCT was Nolvadex only, so I decided to add Clomid at 50mg/day for a couple of weeks, and I'm happy to report that everything is back up where it belongs. Just in time to wreck it all again!

Ok, here are my results after 18 days of Nolvadex @ 40mg. Looks like the Nolva is definitely working...it's just taking longer than I expected.

Total T: 203 L (241-827)
Free T: Pending (9.5-43)
E2: 11 L (13-54)
LH: 6.3 (1.5-9.3)

LH is coming up nicely...just slow. I think I'll add 25mg of Clomid in every day for the next 3 weeks.

One of Jenetic's main PCT protocols is 20mg Nolva ED + 50mg Clomid ED, but I think I'll try 40mg Nolva ED + 25 mg Clomid ED and hope for fewer sides.

Thoughts?

For most people full recovery isn't possible even after 3 weeks of PCT. I'm not at all surprised at the timing. Remember testosterone production won't recover until about a weeks after LH levels return. 3 weeks is the rule of thumb for PCT because that's how long it takes to for LH levels to return to normal.

Good thing you used HCG. Full recovery after a long cycle with no HCG (during or after) can take 10 weeks.

For the future, 100mg/day of clomid will make me feel like crying occaisionally while 40mg/day of nolvadex will give me awful anxiety. Using Jenetics recommendation of 50mg clomid with 20mg nolvadex daily reduces the side effects all around for me.

Bro, your sides will be EXTREMELY minimal with Clomid at 50mg/day. Most peeps are running into problems because of the idea of doing 2-300mg/day on the first day, and then dropping to 100mg/day for a week or two. You really don't need that kind of dosage to get results. You can always start at 50 and then drop to 25. I had great results getting my nuts back with 50mg of clomid daily, 40mg of nolvadex daily, and .5mg of arimidex every other day.
