Is it Wrong to Use Dynamite to Fish?

I was just talking to this dude and told him I aways wanted to try it. And he thought I was out of mine.

Why? I said. I asked him if he thought it was more humane catching a fish with a hook piercing his mouth(that's got to hurt )and then pulling to him to the surface(poor fish is probably scared out of his mind. Then make them literally drown in our air like we would in their water. Or a quick blast and boom they are dead. then they float to the top you gather them up with a net and then sushi out.

Am i right or wrong?

And don't say "would jesus do that"? (because jesus had all the fish just swim into the nets) I am human so I have to use as JJ would DY-NA-MITE!!!

A couple of years back, I was in Panama. I went fishing with a friend in a small motor boat out on the Pacific. He had a Hand Grenade and suggested that we chum the water then when the fish come around throw the hand grenade into the water. I was a little drunk and it seemed like a good idea. We could catch a bunch of fish and get home to party quickly. After chumming the water and the fish where coming around he lobs the hand grenade into the water. BAM….dead fish everywhere….and a couple of holes in our boat. We didn’t notice it at first we was netting the fish. When we did notice we tried to stop the flow and get back to land fast. The boat sunk about 300 years from shore. The chum attracted sharks and other sea creatures that I didn’t want to be in the water with. It was a long scary swim back.

So I guess it may seem like a good idea but use some caution when doing it… and don’t handle explosives when you’re drunk

In a survival situation, where I need food to live, I'll use dynanmite on ANYTHING. It is illegal though, and I can't say I agree with it from a sport fishing standpoint. Most people catch and release anyway. If everybody used TNT, the fish population would be extinct quite quickly.

If I were in a survival situation and had to eat, then there's nothing wrong with it.

It is illegal here in NC though, and highly unethical IMO.

Also, fish dont feel it when you hook them because they lack the area of the brain that registers pain the way humans feel it. They dont even feel any pain from being hooked. You must remember thier nervous system is a couple hundred million years less advanced than ours.

They dont like to be suffocated by not being in water though.

Nah I didn't mean ECA, I know you need precise caffeine doses for that, I meant aking pro plus for going clubbing, or being more alert at work.... I prefer starbucks....

I admit it would be fun to try, but if you get caught with tnt you will be spending hard time with Osamas brother. The laws surrounding explosives are EXTREME(in the case of dynamite), and that was before 9/11. You won't have to worry about the charges for blowing the fish up. Other ways to catch fish: you can use an old telephone hand crank and connect it to probes going into the water. Then crank it and it will stun the fish and they float to the top. You can do the same thing with earthworms, placing spikes into wet ground and electrifying them and the earthworms will come out of the ground. When Im in the mood for fish, it's most easy to catch friday nights here at the local bar $5.00 all you can eat catfish.
