I interviewed this guy who has very good business skills from having his business for 12 years.

He wants to "retire" into photography (people think it is glamorous good times) and has offered to assist me for free this summer.

One more photographer would not affect things but I could see this guy getting huge on the internet and hiring 20 photogs and undercutting everybodies prices. He could be the Walmart of photography.

He is really into the technical end of it and that is where photography will end up. We are being transformed from lensmen to computer techies. Photography skills are taking a back seat to Photoshop and other computer skills.


I would get out but I still enjoy it. Lousy way to make a good living for 99.5% of us though. A lot like being an artist. A whole lot like being an artist.




Now I will hear about these fantastic lensmen success stories. Meanwhile....Ansel Adams, the most prominent photographer ever, was constantly trying to borrow funds from wealthy friends.


It can be OK in a decent economy though.


Women are hopping into it in droves and driving the prices down.

It goes against the spirit of photography in my opinion.

Yes and no.....I have a house that is strictly for photography which is dead in the winter. So I don't know how much shooting I will do there.


I use four printers.....2 by Epson , one by HP, and one by Olympus.

I still use a lab at times.



I need to get ......... to check in for some tight butt shots.
