Is HCG really needed?

Is HCG really needed for PCT to regain the size of one's testes? Or is nolva sufficient in this purpose for restoring HTPA and testicle size (Im very concerned about this for my upcoming 1st cycle, Im hoping Nolva alone will do the trick)? If one's testosterone were to be suppressed for lets say, 12-13 weeks , would HCG be a must then?

Yeah it would. HCG does more than just get your nuts bigger. Think of it as something that will kick your natural hormone production back on. If you are going on for 12 to 13 weeks, which is a little long, your gonna shut down.

Yeah, I know I am going to shutdown, but what I am saying is that will Nolva alone suffice in restoring natural test and testicle size and do I run the risk of irreversible testicle atrpohy by running that long?

Nolva will not help recover testicular size. It will help with LH secretion, but leutinizing hormone is pretty much (well, almost) useless if you don't have testes for it to work on.

HCG does work to restore size but at the expense of normal LH secretion and possibly at the expense of desentitization of your lyding cells to natural LH.

Lol, this is my main concern. So If I dont go the HCG route, I'd just have to wait and see if my testes come back to size? What are the chances of irreversible testicle atrophy?

This determination is based on how much gear you will be running and your pervious cycle experiences. How much atrophy have you noticed in the past? I've seen a few guys complaining of pea sized nuts after just 6wk and many others that hardly notice any change in size after even 14wk at almost a gram a week. We are not all text book copies of one another. There isn't a magic equation that states if you run compound X for Y weeks you MUST have HCG. Well, maybe there is but you are forgetting variable Z which is YOUR unique response to X and Y. If you don't have that prior experience then just get the HCG and have on hand.

Thanks man, yeah this is going to be my first cycle at 500mg of test enanthate a week for 10 weeks. Thing is when I take PH's my testes get noticably smaller (but then again thats only 4 week cycles) around week 2 or 3. And the reason I say my natural test will be suppressed for 12-14 weeks, is because next week I may have my gear but I have already been on a 1AD/4AD stack for 2 weeks (the general consenus was that I could run the two together and taper off the PH a short awhile after I run the gear) so far and am worried about them staying that small for too long. So this is my issue.

Why shut your self down for an extended period of time for shitty results? I'd sell that PH crap stick to the real thing, with real breaks.

Well of course, I highly doubt Ill be doing PH's from now if my 1st cycle goes smoothly. Ill see if I can get my hands on some HCG, if not, Ill just have to hope for a smooth PCT on Nolva/6OXO alone.

Read up on HCG, other alternatives are to use it at low dose, like every Monday 500iu, through the cycle to prevent atrophy all together.

I have to agree that using smaller doses during cycle is the ay to go.

I can notice almost an immediat effect at only 500 daily for 5 day runs.

I think all the pros are on HGC all the time, but what do they know. They are only doing more gear in a day then I do in a week.

I happen to believe that it would take mega doses over long periods of time to have a real negative impact on LH sensitivity. I really think that the idea of HCG causing down regulation of some sort in the puituitary or hypothalamus is over stated.

Remember this, HCG is just a replacement hormone, it does not really "kick start" natural production as mentioned above. As a matter of fact, a big dose of HCG will have your testes pumping out MORE than normal test levels which can actually cause gyno!!

I would be carefull of this if you start HCG right at the start of a cycle...I would say take it after the first 2-3 weeks and NO SOONER ! Everyone should experiment with it a bit to see how their body reacts to it. If you can get away with lower doses, then do so!
