Is FTITM hype?

I hear a lot of people swear by doing their cardio first thing in the morning, because then supposedly your glycogen stores are depleted and your body uses fat for fuel. But then a lot of other people disagree and say that a calorie deficit is a calorie deficit no matter what time of day you create it. And I've even heard someone say its harmful to work out without some food in your body. Has anyone compared their results between FTITM cardio and cardio at a later time in the day? Was there a significant difference?
 
Hey grl! I think the that most people feel they can get leaner when they do thier cardio on an empty stomach and in the morning when your metabolism is PUMPED!
