I am here. Boarded up this morning. Still have power.
the gas stations are all out of gas.
the police was going around at 1230PM emptying out the bars (hard to believe people are already drinking, but true) and removing all the money from the ATM machines. If you didn't get gas or money by 1230PM, you didn't get it period.
Lots of rain and heavy winds right now.
I stopped by Blockbuster to get some movies... they were practically out of everything. When you walked in the door they informed you that there was a 50 minute wait from the back of the line to the check out counter. There were over 100 people in line. I was lucky though... they didn't have shit to choose from but I heard the magic noise of "shhhhhhh-THUNK" behind the counter and ran up and asked "what was just dropped off in the drop box?" I scored Scooby Doo 2 and Starsky and Hutch that way. I picked up Timeline as well. Along with Amelie. There was nothing else to choose from.
Well, no one had touched Boa vs Anaconda on the shelfs.

She's looking awesome on the satellite images and she doesn't seem to be weakening like Ivan and Frances did. I would guess she is strengthening and if that is the case, most people did not evacuate because of various reasons some of which couldn't find gas or couldn't afford it or some others who have grown complacent.
There are a lot of weather factors that are in place that is leading up to a disaster in the making. I would not be surprised to see a greater loss of life than the three previous hurricanes combined. A lot of mobile homes in Florida and those are the first to go.
Take care and stay safe. This could be tragic if you are near ground zero.
