i need a mp3 player to get my lift on. 4gigs is plenty of space for me, so is that bad boy worth the dough?...i think they selll an armband thingy for it so it should be perferct for the gym, assuming it fits around my 17" guns of steel.

What's an Ipod or an mp3? I'm behind the times.

arm band is useless unless you are and ElipticalWarrior.. besides, you want to go for some moisture protection.. I got the 40gig and whipped it into the shock rubber case.

kicks ass. great investment.

i got this neoprene belt thing, lightweight, dont notice it after a while, and a pretty good clip that goes right on my weightbelt for those days

I have seen people that have the Hard Drive based Players have no issues
with them crashing due to usage..

But Others that are a bit rough on the things (dropping, banging it against stuff etc) have had them fail after spending hours loading them up with Gigs of music.

I went with a 256 ROM MPIO machine with and expanded 256 Flash card installed and it is bullet proof. Only takes me a couple min to upload a new mix of say 40-50 songs or so in WMA format and high quality 192 KB rate..

yeah I can't justify s[ending $400+ on an MP3 player right now, maybe in the future. I'm probably gonna get one with a 512MB compact flash card for now, more than enough for my trip to the gym.

im most concerned with it just not getting in my way during workouts, i get all frustrated with a bulky thing aroudn my waste or wires getting tangled on my arms.

Dude.. I hear you..

My advice for that is to clip the player on your hip, untuck your shirt
and run the headphone cord up inside your shirt so it exits at you neck.

No tangled cords..

an office mate of mine has one, loves it. his is pretty old as well, no problems thus far.

I saw a guy with a mini last nite. It's smaller than I thought. I may get one.

yeah
and since its fine, i havent been able to justify to myself spending the money to get a new one
and i drop the damn thing too much
if it was a hard drive it woulda busted long ago

ok, lets all go get "phonographs" so that Y lifter can approve

DUDE.. How cool would that be huh ?

Walking around the gym with some Carpenters music jammin on your
horiz neck strapped LP record player..

You could then do that Hip Hop scratch noise stuff when someone stole your spot on the free weight floor giving them a warning .

How the hell would you do the daily 135 flat bench though ?
