Got three big interviews on Friday- Cant wait all with big banks.

Any good sites for help preparing for interview questions Ex.

Tell me about yourself -

What are strengths/weaknesses etc.

Where do you see yourself

love to all who can help

Go with my standard answer as seen in Frankenfoot's interview thread.

Why should we hire you?

You need someone to fill the spot and I don't want to have to come back shooting.

A bank is bound to love that answer.

Good luck

That reminds me of an interview I was on once where I decided that the guy that was interviewing me was a complete asshole and the company that I was interviewing with was being run by incompetant people.

The guy I would have been working for. I mean, the kid, I would have been working for, was in a position that requires experience of a minimum of 10-15 years. He had maybe 3 and you could tell by talking to him. His daddy owned the company. They asked me that exact same question and I was like. You know thats a good question, I dont know why you would want to hire me. That pretty much was the end of the interview.

If I had said what I was really thinking it would have come out more like this. "I dont know why you would hire someone that was actually competant to help run your company. If history of your company is consistent, you should probably go seek out a nephew, neice maybe even a sister-in-law with at the very least a GED to help drive your company in the ground. Kthxbye."

Classic. You should have said that, just to see the look on his face.

My oilfield interviews usually start out with some technical questions to test your knowledge and quickly turn into, " No shit! you know that crazy Mofo too?" Followed by patch stories and a meetup at the bar or steakhouse on the company expense account.

Yeah its a small world. Everyone knows each other or know someone who knows them in our industry. It always seems to come around full cirlce. Thats why sometimes its best to have a scar on your tongue from biting it than saying what you really want to say! lol!

One of the reasons I like the patch. I only get in trouble for about 5 minutes for running my mouth or, usually, not at all.

good luck!!

don't memorize answers to the main questions, dont want it to look too overly rehearsed. Be yourself and relax :)

Thanks everyone for feedback support - I want so bad to get out from where I am - These new positions could mean 20K + more!

It comes down to this...

Relax and be yourself. Don't get nervous, no need to, you are interviewing them as well.

With who? I have connections in many wall street firms. Talk to me. PM if need be.

I know this will sound wierd but go in their not with the attitude of showing them why they should hire you, but rather, why should YOU come work for them.

Trust me... it puts a whole nother twist on the entire encounter.
