Insulin, stop villifing it!!

If you use insulin (Humulin-R) correctly and at specific times such as right before your work out (my favorite time) it works great with zero adverse health risks. Everyone is so scared of it because there are so many stupid lifters out there who probably would kill themselves with it or go into comas due to their crazy drug usage programs. Survival of the fittest! That being said I just wanted a little feed back from other insulin users on timing and results of their insulin usage. Stay hardcore, stay educated, stay alive.

I would never, never use it right before a workout. Either post workout or maybe 15-20 minutes prior to completing a workout for the advanced user.

One is asking for trouble if the shoot before a workout. Unless they are extremely advanced.

I take after or just before end of workout, carb drink during workout , carb w/creatine after, meal within 30-40 minutes,carb drink at two hour mark.
 
I used insulin before workouts for about 2 months on and off and the only difference is that you get mind BLOWING pumps if you inject and then wait a while to drink your carbs while working out. It is just something that you have to work with yoursef. if you are in to looking the biggest possible that you can at the gym then inject before if you are just looking for some gains then after is fine.

You are correct. But this is definately not a procedure someone should follow who is not completely comfortable with slin usage and has alot of experience under his belt.
 
The best times to take are first thing in morning on empty stomach and after your workouts.I personally use 10-15 units after my workouts if im dieting i use twice a day morning and after workouts.I dont think insulin does to much for size gains on its own.
 
Insulin when and why

You should use only short-acting insulin (Humulin-R) by Eli Lilly is the easiest to find in the states. I haven't tried the Pork insulin, but it is more expensive and less talked about, could be interesting. Anyone hear of someone using Pork insulin?Humulin-R costs around $20-30/bottle of 100 I.U.'s. You should use 1 I.U. per 15lbs. of LEAN BODY WEIGHT when bulking, less when dieting. So if you're a fat boy, don't go injecting 20 I.U.'s you'll probably have some serious problems.

I take it before my workout not to look bigger at the gym, but to get the full effect of the insulin. Short acting Insulin peaks in the blood after 2 hours. So if my driving to the gym, workout, and driving home take me 1 1/2 hours I'm ready to load my carbs properly and get the full effect of the insulin.

I only use insulin after workouts or to get into ketosis faster when I use the BODYOPUS diet. That actually works great and you burn more fat, plus you only need very little.
