Insulin, intramuscular or sub-cutaneous inject?

needsize

I've seen some debate on this but what is the difference if I shoot it into fat or a muscle?

Don't inject it I.M. Insulin is metabolized by liver, kidney, and MUSCLE.
So a certain percentage of what you inject will be broken down before it gets into circulation.
As far as how much, I don't know, but probably enough to make a significant difference.

The difference if you shot it into a muscle could be the dead, you'll get all into circulation immediately and could be sure that you would be in shock. I would suggest to read a lot about medical use of insulin before take it.

Thanks bro, I read everything I could find about insulin and humalog specifically, but I couldnt find anything about the difference between sub-q and IM

Actually needsize, I think I might be wrong!
I was just looking at some research articles and I think I.M. injection will get insulin into circulation faster (as was mentioned above), increasing risk of diabetic shock.
I'll have to do a bit more searching.

Its not that sure of a thing. I didn't get any hypoglycemic sides when i tried IM. And i know others who only do it that way. I went back to sub-q. But i prob should have thought about the possible sides before i went experimenting with my health when i tried IM.

I wouldnt mind IM, right into the delt would be easy, but I want to make sure nothing too bad will happen. The pins I bought are kinda short, so i want sure if they were going deep enough into my stomach fat

Diabetics do sub-q

Hospitals do sub-q

Diabetic informational guides say to do sub-q

Insulin needles are designed to do sub-q

Based on the above I have and will continue to do sub-q and would suggest the same:)
