I understand that insulin can be used to decrease the time it takes one to dive into ketosis. As I understand it (please correct me if I am wrong):
The initial influx of insulin into the bloodstream will cause your system to utilize glucose (sugars) in the bloodstream ridding yourself of essentially all blood sugar (should you not consume any). Your body is then forced to rely on fats and you dive into ketosis. After the initial jumpstart with insulin you discontinue use?
I don't plan on doing this, I am just interested in the theory behind it.
