Insomnia!!!

Hey Now!

First off I am new here and I want to thank those who share their experiences and help others!

Background, Mid 30s trained for many years on and off, and I have used A.S.several times since my mid 20s.

Example-Test Eth/EQ/D-bol For 10 wks was my last Approx 3 years ago. I tend to train Natural but like to ride in the fast lane now and again.

My question- I'm using Sust/Winstrol(British Dragon 10mg orals) Sust@250mg every 5 days and the winny@50mg split up throughout the day and cannot sleep. I have used Sust in the past with no probs, but this is the first time I have used winny which I susspect is causing the insomnia. I cut the winny back to 40 Mg per day but still no luck and I'm really f'ng tired and this is screwing up my training schedule!

Any advise appreciated.

The only AAS that fucked up my sleep was tren. I take Winstrol every cycle and it doesn't affect me that way.
 
Im running tren and I cant sleep.
Tried Melatonin and valerian root but it makes no difference.
I dont have any Ambien but I have Ativan and a double dosage makes me sleep ok. Not good but ok.

It sucks..
 
try these herbs (relaxers and help you sleep)
Kava Kava Root
Passionflower Herb
Valerian root
Raspberry leaf (tea)
Chamomile tea
Scullcap
Passionflower
 
I'm not saying do this but clen makes me need sleep,i don't think that is a very common problem though.

You're one of the people that has a different response to clen, for others clen gives them a hard time when it comes time for bed.

Ive tried every herb you can think of and none have worked for me on cycle, I prefer ambien but i just got 1,000 tabs of Phenazepam and it works pretty damn well. If you can get your hands on it try it.
 
try keeping the winny dose 8 hours from your bed time..that might help. I used to take it in the morning and then around 3pm.. worked great that way.
 
Man... this is a HUGE issue for me.

I've always had problems sleeping, period. When I got into college and started playing college football, I started experiencing extreme back pain. I have always had some type of discomfort in my back, but at that point I didnt think too much about it.

One day during workouts, my back was hurting so bad I was almost in tears. My coach saw the grimace on my face and pulled me aside and asked me wtf was goin on. I told him my back was fuckin killin me. He decided to send me to a back specialist. I went and he ran some X-rays and he came back in the room with a puzzled look on his face and was like "I'd like to take another round of X-rays"

So he did, and when he came back he was like "I have only read about this, and never seen it..." Apparently I was born with a rare defect that less than 1% of the worlds population has. My lowest 4 vertibrae are not normal. My bottom 2 are fused together with no disk inbetween. Then I have a disk, and 2 more fused vertibrae. From there up I am normal.

This causes me to have basically no flexibility in my lower back and it puts HELLA stress on that 1 disk down there, continuously causing it to bulge. Boy it SUCKS heh.

I've experimented with many sleep aids, some with more success than others.
I smoke weed every single night to help me sleep.
If I have a xanax on hand, I will take half of one to help me sleep.
Occasionally I will use NyQuil (dont like the groggy feelin the next day tho)
Occasionally I will use Tylenol PM also but get the same groggy nyquill feelin.
I use Benadryl sometimes as well.
I was prescribed Sonata but it was too weak for me.
Ambiens put me down pretty good, but I dont like going to the doctor to try and get prescribed stuff, so I never got a script for it.

Even with all of the above methods, I never consistently get sleep. With building up of tolerances and other factors involved, I am constantly having to rotate meds and switch up techniques to try and get a good nights sleep.


That being said, I just ordered a new product talked about here on EF that I am anxious to try.

Oxycalm from the AF store. I am anxiously awaiting that to get to my house next monday so I can give it a try. A lot of bro's here have given it nothing but positive reviews. You may want to check it out. :Chef:

Though I've been using melotonin for so long it fails to work on me anymore. I had a sleep study done and was diagnosed with mild insomnia and mild anxiety. Doc wanted to drug me up with xanax but I'm not a big pill popper and refuse to be totally dependant on a drug to keep me sleeping.

the thing i've done to help with my late night issues are, chaged my training times. If I train too late, I can't sleep at all.. it gives me a second wind and then im dead the next day. Still not 100% but getting better.. and then its also prolly the diet and carb cycle that is draining me of needed energy at night.
 
flyingfox - I'm wondering if it's the sust? I know test gives me insomnia - it gets better towards the middle of the cycle though

immortalis - I feel your pain - I'm in the same boat (minus the condition you have - sorry to hear!) I've tried all the sleep-aids and anti-anxiety meds... I'm actually prone to panic attacks and anxiety, so I have a legit need for them... but after a while, they all lose their effectiveness... best to rotate them... try not to use them all the time.... temazepam works great, lunesta and ambien are pretty good... also try reducing stress in your life (easier said than done, I know), change your lifestyle if you have to... and as Mr. X said, some of those herbs work pretty well... I drink Kava Kava / chamomile, etc. teas a few times a day, especially before bed and they help (a little)
 
I dont really mess with any herbs for the most part (except weed, heh). I havent had much success with them, and what success I have had was so minimal it really wasnt worth the extra trouble.

They may work for someone else much better than they did for me however. :coffee:

yah, everyone's different - let us know how the oxycalm works for you - I just received my yesterday... on day 2... feeling kinda "weird"... only way I can describe it so far.... I get a slight euphoric buzz for about 10 minutes after spraying... then nothing...then I feel really tired, almost sleepy... last night was the first time I didn't take a sleeping aid, only oxycalm... slept so-so... woke up a few hours before my alarm went off (though that's not uncommon even when I take a sleeping pill).... we'll see how it goes after a week or so

Good to hear. I cant wait to give mine a try. Please keep me updated on how your experience with it goes if ya dont mind.
 
Thanks for the help I slept good last night after I used a natural(HERBal) supp. I have xanax but they seem to lose their effectiveness over time on me.
The one thing i forgot to mention was that I was using the BSN supps(nitrex/cellmass/no explode) to hold me over till my Bro came through and I was using all said products at once. I was on BSN stuff for about4-5 days and then my gear came through and I just jumped in.
I also train at night and the better shape I get in it seems the less tired I get in the eve.
