There are two sleeping type drugs that are OTC: Diphenhydramine
One is Diphenhydramine and you can find it in generic Benadryl. Two or three an hour and a half before bedtime should do the trick.
There is also doxylamine, which you can find in Sominex and other generic brands. It's similar to above but can cause some problems if over-used.
Another solution many people find helpful is melatonin.
I think many gear sources are familiar with their clients having this problem, and often sell Ambien, but you can usually get your doc or whoever to write you a script for this one.
I've tried all of the above. I suggest going with the first as it has the least sides. I caution you against Ambien because it's a psychotropic.
Of course, sometimes a little warm milk does the trick. Good luck.
