Inside scoop on Anastrozole

Just thought I'd share something with the community-

I work for a major chain retail pharmacy. Being one of the managers I am privy to our orders, costs, etc. The other day I saw an order placed for generic Anastrozole. A 30 count bottle of 1mg anastrozole tabs costs my company... are you ready?

$3.82.

Unfreakingbelievable.

That will be marked up so high for a legit script. It really shows me how much this industry totally bones people.

Yuupppp! And that's why I always buy the generic equivalent insteas. The mark up on drugs by big drug pharma is ridiculous, just for brand name, packaging, patents on the "formula", shape, size, corlor and design. Those are all thing that the consumer pays for when purchasing brand name pharma products. When the generic equivalent is usually just the Active Ingredient compounded together and packaged with minimal amount of fancy design. So what it doesn't look good, but it's still the same thing!

I pay $1 mg generic via script through the pharm for mine out of pocket, no insurance involved. Its still a healthy markup for sure but they have to make money too.
